The Nauru Judiciary, in a ground-breaking initiative, inaugurated its Continuous Legal Education (CLE) program today, aimed at providing ongoing professional development for legal practitioners in the country. The program, initiated by the Nauru Court of Appeal for the first time, was attended by 29 legal practitioners from both the official and unofficial bar.
Today the program was launched, focusing on the practice and procedure of civil appeals, with an emphasis on recent developments in civil appellate jurisdiction. The legal practitioners in attendance embraced the program wholeheartedly, showcasing their enthusiasm for professional development and recognizing its importance.
The program was conducted by Justice Rangajeeva Wimalasena of the Court of Appeal and Registrar of Courts, Mr. Ronald Prakash. The master of ceremony was student intern Rosita Rokobuli, and Associate Akash Prasad introduced the speakers to the attendees. The legal practitioners who attended the program will be awarded certificates of attendance to recognize their commitment to professional development.
